This past weekend, KC Sole held their 2nd sneaker show called KC Sneakfest. I was a little disappointed I missed out on last year’s event, but luckily got to go experience it this year. Walking into the Kansas City Municipal Building, I didn’t really know what to expect, and was amazed from the moment I walked in. Loud music, a concession stand that included tall boy cans of beer, and best of all…. SHOES.
Brandon of Evolved Footwear has always been a good homie & supporter of ours, so I set up camp over at his table. If you need custom light-up shoes, he’s the dude to talk to.

For about the first 30 minutes I just sort of stood there looking around, because honestly I had no idea where to start. Last year the event saw 60 different collectors & vendors, but this year they had doubled up to 120 tables set up.

One of the best attractions was right next to the table I was at, the super rare Red October Air Yeezys. A collector was doing a raffle for the brand new pair of size 13 Yeezys. Tickets for the raffle were $35, which doesn’t seem like a lot, but he raised around $7000 in the raffle. Crazy, right?

My homies at Well-Cultured also had a table nearby, so I kicked it with them for a bit before I really dove in.

There was no shortages of recent releases at the show, which made it incredibly tempting to spend all of the cash in my wallet.

Another big attraction at the show was the almighty Air Mag. There was several pairs of Yeezys throughout the show, but this was the only pair of Air Mags.

At one point the hosts decided to help some sneakerheads out by basically auctioning off shoes from the stage. Personally, I think they should have done this the whole time. It was extremely entertaining & people were letting shoes go for the low.

My good friend Rick has a crazy collection, and he definitely had the rarest Foamposites of anyone there with the ParaNormans & the Galaxys.

I was so caught up in browsing the crazy collections, and things that were for sell, that I completely forgot to check out what people were actually rockin’. Here’s a least a few of the pairs I saw on feet that I liked.

As for me, I rocked one of my favorite pairs. The Nike x Fragment Design All Court Low “Leopard.”

I managed to limit myself to buying only one pair of shoes, which after an intense haggle session, I got for an even lower price than I was aiming for. Welcome to the family PB&J KD VIs.

Head on to the next page for a look at all the crazy heat that was at the event.
